Wifi-Bluetooth adapter(Ralink RT3290) not visible in Device Manager, HP Hardware diagnostic tool and network adapters. Wifi button (f12) shows orange. The laptop doesn't even recognise that wifi exists. But LAN connection works and able to use internet only via that.
Any solution?
If the adapter is dead and needs to be replaced, please share the list of compatible wifi-Bluetooth cards for Pavilion G6 laptop.

Hi:
From the specs I found regarding your PC, since it has an Intel processor, you should be able to upgrade to this model wifi card...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
The cards is readily available on eBay or Amazon.
Search by the HP part number, not by the model number of the wireless card.
Here is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.

Hi, @Srivivek94
See my reply in this discussion at the link below for the explanation as to why the Ralink wifi card is gone.
But... I would need to know the full model number of your notebook to recommend a replacement wifi card.
Only the g6-2200 and newer models can have the wifi cards replaced.
And only some model wifi cards can be installed, depending on the processor the notebook has.
For example: an Intel card won't work on a g6-2200/2300 with an AMD processor.
The older models have BIOS whitelists which block the installation of any wifi card not listed in the service manual from working.
