HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-bq1xx (Ryzen)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After upgrade to Windows 10 ver. 1809 I have issue that WiFi or bluetooth disappear and I have to switch the laptop off and switch it again for WiFi or Bluetooth to reappear in device manager.

In Windows 1803 the behavious was erratic, as mentioned in my previous topic.

Now: after sleep I need to swith the laptop Off and On again for wireless to apeear. BT is still erratic.

I am worried that my HP warranty will expire soon, and the issue is still not solved.

Could I get recommendations from HP on exact driver version to install for BT/WiFi before RMA?

Can I get replacement WiFi/Bt board from HP before my warranty expires?

Will this documented issue extend warranty for this particular WiFi/Bt module?

A month ago I had the exact same problem on probably the same model, which was a week old. HP support couldn't fix it for me, so they sent me a new laptop within warranty. They can also get you a replacement I think, at least that's what they said.

Thank you for your reply, Niek.

I had issues with this Realtek WiFi/Bt adapter for quite some time and it became more often recently.

Was wondering if HP could just send me a new adapter (e.g. Intel instead of Realtek), as my laptop is still under warranty.

That would be $15 for them, but would avoid sending the laptop back and forward, transferring data, etc.

Looks I have the only option to order Intel 9260NGW as replacement.

Will HP refund me $15 for it?

What should I do to make HP replace my wireless card as a warranty case?

It looks the adapter is faulty. My warranty expired already. Will HP extend the warranty for this issue that was reported before warranty expiration?
