Hello there

i have a realtek rtl8723be card on my laptop but i want to replace it with an ac supported card. But I don't know what card to put on. I want to wear an AC 7260. Do you think it works? I need your help.

No problem!

Your model wifi card is designed to work with one antenna cable--both wifi and bluetooth.

The Realtek AC wifi card I posted was designed to work with one antenna cable--both wifi and bluetooth.

The advantage to the AC card is that you can connect on the 5.0 GHz wifi band and the bluetooth works on the 2.4 GHz wifi band.

Since your current card is also working on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, there can be interference, and that is why the bluetooth acts crazy.

You can try updating the Realtek 8723BE wifi and bluetooth drivers to their latest versions and see if that improves things for you.

If you get an Intel AC card, the bluetooth will not work at all because there will be no antenna attached.

If you want bluetooth, then you would need to purchase an external usb bluetooth adapter.

Hi:

Your notebook only has one antenna cable that attaches to the Realtek wifi card you have in there now.

The Intel 7260 is too old and the wrong form factor.  Your notebook needs a M.2 form factor wireless card.

The only AC wifi card that is a direct swap for your realtek 8723 is this one...Works with one antenna...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported)   HP part # L17365-005

The card has been on back order for months from HP, but you can buy one of them on eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card will have the same speed on the 2.4 GHz wifi band as the one you have now, but it will have a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS with an AC router on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.  The wifi card R & R procedure can be found in chapter 6.

thank you for your answer.

Customs tax policies in our country are very variable. I may not receive the product. Manually supported 1 * 1 cards with ac supported Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165. I can access this card from local dealers. Can I use it?

You're very welcome.

Yes that card will work, but you won't have bluetooth.

You need two antenna cables for any other dual band card to work correctly other than the one I posted.

Bluetooth is not much trouble. it is already very difficult to use internet and bluetoth at the same time with rtl8723be. Plugs and freezing. With the Intel 3165AC, the increase in internet speed is more important. When I get the card, I'm going to get back to this.

I was also thinking that you can use the Intel 7265.

It would have twice the throughput of the 3165 but again, no bluetooth.

I'm confused.

You said the 7265 wasn't compatible first, or I didn't understand.

3165ac and 7265 from local dealers. which one should I take?

7265 2x2 antenna, 3165 1x1 antenna ?

HP Recommended

No, I said the 7260 isn't compatible because it is of the HMC form factor.

2 x 2 and 1 x 1 have nothing to do with the number of antenna cables.

2 x 2 and 1 x 1 refer to the number of data streams up or down the wifi adapter can handle.

The 7265 should work fine as a wifi card, but the bluetooth won't work.

One antenna works the wifi and one works the bluetooth.

To work the wifi, you would place the antenna cable on the wifi card's 'Main' or #1 terminal.

okey I just got it.

my last question will be.

If I have only one antenna, I can use both bluetooth and wifi on my current card. if I can connect the mouse with bluetooth at the same time I can surf the internet? internet or mouse gets stuck but still can do it.

I'm sorry I missed you 🙂
