Hello Community,
i want to upgrade the Wifi-Module (RTL8723BE) in my HP Notebook (17-x108ng).
Can anyone tell me what "faster" Module works in this Notebook?
Wifi5 (2,4 Ghz AND 5 Ghz) would be nice.
Thanks

Hi:
How many antenna cables are connected to the RTL8723BE wifi card in there now?
Below is the link to the service manual you can use to open up the notebook and check.

Hi:
If it only has one antenna, then you can upgrade to this card with a direct swap. This card works with one antenna cable.
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723 on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.
On a dual band wireless N router, it would have a maximum throughput of 150 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.
