Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

 

I have a HP elitebook 840 G1, and it currently has a Intel Dual Band Wireless N 7260 card in it.  The card is on its way out, and I am looking to replace it.

 

Are there any better versions that I can put in?

 

I saw on the HP website the Intel Dual Band Wireless- AC 7260 802.11 ac (2x2) WiFi + BT 4.0 combo Adapter

 

Would this fit and work?

Hi:

 

Yes it will, but I recommend you get the one with the HP part number listed in your notebook's service manual...chapter 3, page 29, item 17.

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

 

The card is readily available on Amazon or eBay.

 

Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

710661-001 "OF"

710661-001 "OD"
