HP ENVY Notebook - 15-ah000sa (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My wifi keeps loosing connectivity and even disappears from the settings networks list, sometimes causing the notebook to shutdown.

I am looking to upgrade the Intel 3160ngw card and wondering if I can use the 9260ngw or even the AX200NGW M2 cards?

Hi:

I cannot find any discussions where anyone tried to upgrade the Wi-Fi adapter in that model series, so anything you try will not be guaranteed to work.

Since your notebook has an AMD processor, there is only one newer Intel Wi-Fi adapter that I know of that may work.

HP installed this model Wi-Fi adapter in my HP 15-ee0047nr which has an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005

You should be able to find this model Wi-Fi card on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.

There is a maintenance and service guide on your notebook's support page that will have the procedure to remove and replace the Wi-Fi adapter.

If you decide to try and upgrade the Wi-Fi card, please post back and let us know the results.
