Wifi card upgrade from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz

I want to upgrade my 802.11b/g/n to 802.11 ac to use 5 Ghz wifi. Is it possible to change wifi card for my laptop and if yes then which wifi card should I purchase ?

Since your notebook only has one wifi antenna, this is the only dual band wifi card you can upgrade to...

 

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723DE card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.
