I am getting wifi just fine. I have 2 wifi settings with my router. My laptop is only finding one of those. What do I need to do to get the laptop to find both wifi connections?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-17-f100-notebook-pc-series/7234909/model/7582635/do...

Your notebook can only connect to the 2.4 GHz wireless band.

The specs state that it comes with a 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN adapter.

Anytime you see a wireless N spec with a suffix that ends in b/g/n, that means the wireless network adapter is a single band card.

Dual band wlan N adapters have suffixes that end in a/b/g/n or a/g/n.

Replacing the wireless card with a dual band one would require extensive disassembly of the notebook and if there is only one antenna connected to the wireless card in your notebook, then further disassembly would be required including the display panel area to properly run the  second antenna that is required for dual band wireless cards.

Well that pretty much explains it all. Thanks for opening my brain a little more.
