Wifi keeps cutting out

Hi; I recently purchased a computer for college but am having trouble keeping connected to the wifi. It will connect for about three minutes before I have to turn the computer off and log back in in order for the wifi to work again. The internet connection doesn't say it's disconnected when this happens, but when using the internet it says that I am offline. Thank you in advance.

What model wifi adapter does your notebook come with?

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.
