So. Since yesterday. The wifi keeps dropping out on my laptop. Its working fine my phone and other phones. I connect and then few seconds later it disconnects automatically. Never happened before. Started yesterday. I have tried network troubleshooting already.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

I came across your post and would like to assist.

I understand that the wifi connection on your HP laptop keeps dropping. And other devices remain connected fine to the wireless network.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Let me know the exact laptop model number. This link will help in locating the model number: https://hp.care/2fzXWAI
  • What version of Windows are you using?
  • Did any software changes or updates happen on the laptop since yesterday?
  • Do you have to restart your laptop to connect to the wireless network?

While you respond to that. I recommend you to perform a Microsoft System Restore to rollback the laptop to an earlier date when everything worked fine. This will not delete your data. In case you're not sure on how to initiate a system restore then this HP document will give you an idea: Refer to "Restore your computer when Windows starts normally" from this document: https://hp.care/2wYMB2R (This document is for Windows 8 and 10).

Secondly, if the issue persists post a successful system restore then the HP guided troubleshooter guide should be able to help. This offered systematic steps to isolate and fix this issue: https://hp.care/2Jw13Uf

Hope this information helps. Fee free to keep me posted for further assistance.

Cheers! 🙂

Hi

Are the working devices on the 5.0 Ghz band?
