Wifi not working after Windows 10 intallation

Pavillion DV6 7012TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Post installating Windows 10 Wifi stopped working, tried reistalling driver multiple times but no luck. Even tried with online solution to fix the driver by either 3rd party tools or device manager but it says driver is up to date. Mine is  a Broadcom 802.11n adapter. Please suggest a Fix ASAP.

You’ve done an excellent job on diagnosing the issue from your end. Kudos to you on that score. It is always a privilege to work with tech-savvy and technically competent customers like you. First, try this Microsoft link and check if it is helpful:


Please try this link: to install the Broadcomm driver. 


If it is not helpful, then as you’ve tried all 3rd party drivers for your wifi adapter and state that it still does not work, you will need to roll back windows to its previous build. as a  workaround.


If you’ve installed windows 10 recently you could use its go back feature from this link:


If that does not work you may need to perform a system recovery to factory settings as our support site also does not have the drivers for windows 10. Link:


You could try older drivers from this link to see if it works for windows 10. Please note that you may need to use a hard wired Ethernet cable to download all these drivers and updates.


Please note that the recovery to factory settings will wipe everything on your computer. Please backup your files before you decide to do it.


This should ideally correct the situation. Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
