You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, your notebook has a BIOS whitelist, and the Intel 5100 802.11 a/g/n WLAN MiniCard was the best model wifi adapter offered in that model series.

Your only option would be to buy a dual band AC USB wifi adapter if you want a better wifi adapter.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your PC?

Use this guide to find that information...

Notebooks made in 2011 or earlier have BIOS whitelists which prevent the installation of any wifi card not listed in the service manual from working.

Product number NQ226AV

Model number dv8t-1000

Thanks!
