Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I could not connect last weekend and I finally got the ralink driver updated and it was doing great until this morning and now I cannot connect to my wifi. I opened the adaper and I see the ralink and it says "not connected".  I do not know how to get it connected. Can someone give me directions?

Hello, @san6 – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I will do my best to assist you with this issue.

I see that you are having issues while connecting to the wireless network from your HP Pavilion. Did this issue started happening after any recent update or was this happening prior to the updates? Please do let me know.

Let’s first try to update the Ralink WiFi drivers. Go to http://hp.care/2hgxOXn to download and install the updated drivers.

If the issue persists, try the steps below to try and fix this issue:

  • Press the Windows logo key + R to get the Run window.
  • Type “devmgmt.msc” and press ok to get the device manager.
  • Locate the Network adapters from the list, right-click on the Wireless adapter and click on “uninstall” the drivers.
  • Check the box which says “Delete the driver software” and confirm the uninstall.
  • Restart the computer and check the wireless connectivity.

If the issue is fixed, then please do not run the Windows update to update the drivers.

Let me know if that helps. Thank you!

Cheers 🙂
