Wireless Network will not

HP Recommended
Pavilion dv7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Pavilion dv7 laptop wireless adapter stopped working. I can see the Wireless Network Connection status, it has a drop down to turn Wi-Fi back on (Manually, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day). I've tried all the options and it doesn't turn on after that time expires.  verified that Air[plane Mode is off. On Network and Internet Settings (Wi-Fi) I have a radio button that defaults to the Off position. When I change it to On I get a spinning circle for a minute, the "Turn Wi-Fi back on" drop down doesn't change. If I leave that screen when I come back the Radio Button is in the Off position again. I've tried the Diagnosis Problems, Change Network settings, Manage known networks, and every Troubleshooter built into Win 10. My Proxy is set to Automatically detect settings (Use setup script is Off, Manual Proxy Setup is Off). What can I do?

@FrankLiv Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing the wireless connectivity issues.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here
I have a few steps to resolve the issue:

  • Since you've already reinstalled drivers, I would recommend using an Ethernet cable (Wired) and update your Wi-Fi drivers using this link

  • Update the bios by visiting this link or through a support assistant using an Ethernet cable.

  • Now try to connect to the internet wireless.

The best way to resolve the issue is by using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
