Hi:

If your notebook has a Realtek RTL8723DE wifi card, that is only a single band wifi card that connects to the 2.4 GHz wifi band only.

You're very welcome.

Me either, but HP still has two cards that aren't dual band.

The other Realtek single band card (RTL8188EE) doesn't even have bluetooth.

You can upgrade the internal card if you find that yours is the 8723DE.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported)  HP part # L17365-005.

You can buy the card on eBay...

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

Or at the HP parts store...$16.50.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook...

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06245081

The card will have the same throughput as the RTL8723DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz band it will have a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS with an AC router.

Here are the latest drivers for the card.  You can install them now, as they are also good for the RTL8723DE card.
