I have an HP laptop purchased in Dec 2019 and wireless isn't seeing the SSID for 5G , but other wifi devices sees the 5G
i have never seen this before when i search / refresh 5G isn't showing up

Me either, but HP still has two cards that aren't dual band.
The other Realtek single band card (RTL8188EE) doesn't even have bluetooth.
You can upgrade the internal card if you find that yours is the 8723DE.

The card will have the same throughput as the RTL8723DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz band it will have a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS with an AC router.
Here are the latest drivers for the card. You can install them now, as they are also good for the RTL8723DE card.
