Hi
i want to upgrade my wireless card with one that support 802.11ac . I currently have Wireless N - 7260 Installed in my laptop And it doesn't support it.
i am looking at upgrading to intel 9260 with an adaptor that i lookup on ebay to install m.2 card into pcle port .
Before i buy it i want to check if its going to be supported by my system and has anyone ever tried to do it ?

Hi:
Why not just install this part number?
It will work, and you don't need any fancy contraptions, that no one here would have an answer to as to whether it would work or not.
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/75439/intel-dual-band-wireless-ac-7260.html
The card is readily available on eBay.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi adapter.
