HP ENVY m4-1115dx Notebook PC

Hello HP community.  Has anyone ever reported any success in upgrading their OS from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on an HP Envy m4?  I have a model m4-1115dx.  Everything I read points to past failures (absence of required drivers, etc.).  Has anyone had any success?  Thank you,

Hi:

Doing a search by your notebook's model number, it appears that the Wi-Fi adapter may not work after upgrading to W10.

Search - HP Support Community

Also, the IDT audio has been known to not work after upgrading.

You can give it a try and you have 10 days to go back to W8.1 if things don't work right on W10 as long as you don't delete any of the upgrade files or Windows.old folder.

Go back to Windows 8.1 (microsoft.com)

You can get the free upgrade by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After the media has been created, open the flash drive in Windows explorer (this PC), and double click to run the Setup application you see listed there to begin the upgrade process.

Hi, I´ve succesfully updated my Envy M4 not to W10 but to W11, everything is working fine (WiFi, Bluetooth, IDT Audio and Touchpad) after making a fresh W11 instalation with Rufus (Disable TPM and Secure Boot check) I installed all drivers under the official HP driver support page. Let me know if you need any help with W10 or W11
