Hi
I like to know if the device has a bios whitelist.
I'm asking because I like to install a dualband wifi 6 card. The ax1600.
But i need to be shure it's not blocked by the bios

Hi:
HP does not release any information regarding what notebooks have BIOS whitelists.
The 17-j170nz does accept other model Wi-Fi cards not listed in the service manual based on other info we have seen.
For example: the Intel 7260 AC card works fine in your notebook and is not listed as one of the supported Wi-Fi cards in chapter 3 of the manual.
However, there are only custom-made Wi-Fi 6 HMC cards that would work in your notebook.
Most Wi-Fi 6 cards are M.2 and won't fit in your notebook's Wi-Fi card slot.
You would need to get something like this...
