bluetooth Realtek 8ххх no reconnection to access point

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi !

I often distribute Internet from my phone via bluetooth, as the wifi very quickly discharges the phone’s battery. The problem is that after turning off the laptop, I can not reconnect to the access point via bluetooth. Because in the Connect to personal network (PAN) menu, the access point is lost and only the direct connection item is located. I have to remove the phone from the laptop and re-create the connection to the phone via bluetooth. The latest drivers from the bluetooth are downloaded from the HP site. 1.7.1021.3000 Rev.S
Can anyone help with this problem?
Thanks you.

@grxs
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open the HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

And, also BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for the tips, but at that time I already had new software installed from the HP website. Yes, I did everything you said, but this did not lead to a bug fix.
Unfortunately, new software did not appear at HP at this time.
BIOS F.09 Rev. A January 2020
Bluetooth driver 1.7.1021.3000 Rev.S December 2019
And I think that HP will no longer update software.
I keep on having problems every day
To distribute the Internet, you need to remove it 2-3 times and find the bluetooth device so that an access point appears. I looked for a similar problem on the Internet and found a lot of people like me. These people ask how to fix the access point so that it does not disappear. But in response, they only received an update bluetooth driver.

Thank you for posting back.

  • Does it happen when your phone is connected?

Use the following steps to open the Component Tests menu.

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. On the main menu, click Component Tests.
  4. The Component Tests menu displays.
  5. Wireless Module Test - This test checks that the BIOS detects the wireless module and that it is enabled.

To run the test, click the Wireless Module, and then click Run once.

  • The Wireless Module Test takes 30 seconds to complete.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
