can't connect to wifi

Product Name: pavilion 15n-209tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

i can not connect to wifi as it shows error with access point . please help

You’ve done an excellent job on diagnosing the issue from your end. Kudos to you on that score. We greatly value your relationship with HP. You are a valued HP customer and we appreciate you greatly for doing business with HP. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with customers like you.

 

We need to isolate the issue further. Your wifi router may not be working correctly.

 

I would require more information to assist you better.

  • When did it first begin?
  • Does it work on a hard wired Ethernet connection?
  • Does any other device (IPad, cell phones etc.) connect to the same network without hassles?
  • Have you tried this computer on a different network like a hotspot or a library?

Also, try the computer on another network and if that works fine, the fault lies with your router and you don't have to perform any of the steps mentioned in these links.

  • Please try a hardwired connection and perform these steps:
  • Go to device manager and uninstall the wifi network drivers. Click search>type device manager>expand the arrow beside network adapters> select wifi adapter> Right-click and click on uninstall and scan for hardware changes.

no method worked. 

it started when i first purchase this laptop.

there is no issue when i connect it via ethernet cable.

there is no issue in other devices also.

the main issue is this that it even didn't show/detect my ssid even it not hidden.

Although it is for windows 10, the troubleshooting pretty much the same for windows 8.1.
