Welcome to the HP English Community --

Reminder to those reading

The LTE driver, even when found and installed, does not work by itself to connect you to your cellular network.

and

The computer must have the WWAN module hardware.

=====================================================

Start here...

Start by finding the Product model / Product Number for your computer.

Once you know what kind of computer you are using, open the computer's website support home page.

 Product Home

Enter the device type and model name of your HP product

Open Category Setup and User Guides

Find and open the Maintenance and Service Guide (name of the document might vary)

  • Search for WWAN
  • Search for LTE

Make note of the pages and information

Next,

Check your Device Manager (in Windows) to determine whether the WWAN module hardware is installed.

Note that if your system does not have the WWAN module, you may be able to add the hardware.

Find the part number and the procedure in the computer's Service manual.

Check the Device Manager for the proper Network adapter type.

The adapter should match the SIM / adapter in the service manual.

Control Panel > icon view > Device Manager

Tab View

Select View by action types

Check Show hidden devices

Select Drivers by type

Expand section Network Adapters

Find LT / LTE in list – Note that if listed, your module might have a different name.

Right-Click on the module > Properties

Use Settings > Network & internet to display information about an installed SIM card.

Next,

Open Category Software & Drivers

Select the proper version of Windows

  • Reminder:  Do NOT post private information (including serial number) in the Community

 Open PartSurfer

  • Select your Country
  • Search for your computer / printer / device >> See HINT

  • HINT: To see a system-specific list, replace the Product Number with your device Serial Number
