The parts list for your PC indicate that it comes with a Ralink RT3290 Wifi/Bluetooth adapter.

I tried your suggestion didn't work. I have been trying ethernet drivers to no avail.

Hi:

It's possible that HP substituted a comparable model wifi card for the Ralink one.

If the wifi adapter needs a driver, there will be a device listed in the device manager, labeled as a Network Controller, and it will have a little ! mark next to it.

Find that device and post the hardware ID for it, so I can confirm what model wifi adapter your PC actually came with.

According to the product specs for your PC, it comes with an Atheros ethernet adapter.

Found a cd with old drivers on it that worked.

hjsm04ww, lom_atheros_w7_a00_setup-yn802_zpe, r309218, sp59632, sp61151.
