I have lost the wifi connection, it appears there is no driver available.  I have two of these laptops and have compared the listings and this unit has no RTL8821CE 802.11AC PCIE ADAPTER

You can get the driver here by searching for your HP laptop/PC model/type.

Or adjust the information you provided, namely RTL8821CE from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

If you take the driver that matches your version of Windows from the Microsoft Update Catalog,

how to install it is:

  • extract the .cab files into one folder.
  • Open *Device Manager*, click the Add drivers icon, then navigate to the extracted folder.
