Product: HP 840 G3

hello, we have a large number of 840 G3 laptops which for some reason all have the same Mac Address, this is found in the BIOS, Windows hasn't even been installed yet. interestingly they also have the same Build ID. I have reported to HP support and they haven't been able to help at all. BIOS updates, firmware updates ETC have made no difference. has anybody got any ideas?
