i have hp 24 inch all in one pc. recently i lost the usb dongle for mouse and keyboard. is there a way to buy the dongle only without buying the keyboard and mouse set?

also my brother also has the same brand and model of the hp all in one i have. we bought at the same time. it is hp paviliion all in one. i borrowed his dongle to see if it will work in mine. but unfortunately it does not work.

i am not happy why hp make this so difficult.

No, you can't use dongle from your brother's machine, just thinking both of you using same dongle and sit close to each other. Can you stop your brother control your machine ?

Does your mouse support Link-5 ? If not, you have to buy a new set (dongle, mouse and keyboard)

Regards.

OK. Understand why I cant use another computer's mouse etc.

How do I check if my mouse supports Link 5 or not.

My PC is HP Pavilion 24-r180a all in one bought about 3 years ago.
