Hi @zenobia1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check Connection: Make sure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can do this by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
- Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
- Restart Router: If restarting the printer doesn't work, try restarting your wireless router. This can help reset the network connection and resolve any temporary issues.
- Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or the HP Smart app.
- Check Signal Strength: Poor Wi-Fi signal strength can cause connectivity problems. Make sure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and that there are no physical obstructions blocking the signal.
- Reinstall Printer Software: Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software on your computer or mobile device. This can sometimes fix software-related issues that may be causing the problem.
- Reset Printer: As a last resort, you can try resetting your printer to its factory defaults. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings you have configured on the printer.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the connectivity issues with your HP printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
