HP TouchSmart Notebook - 14-r102nia
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Is the network card integrated as I believe it is on this HP TouchSmart Notebook - 14-r102nia?

If so is there a way to still upgrade to a gigabit network card (on an available mini PCI slot maybe)?

Thanks

I believe your machine was built around late 2014/early 2015 therefore it is much easier to upgrade wireless adapter. The wireless adapter currently on your machine uses M.2 socket 1 which is replaceable.

I don't know you can upgrade to 1G wifi adapter or not but you can upgrade to dual bands card.

Regards.

Thanks Bahnien,

This laptop has a Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn Wi-Fi adapter

Would the following parts be compatible?

- Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11ax 2 × 2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5 (non-vPro) - HP part# L35282-005

- Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac 2 × 2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5 - HP part# L44796-005

If yes to both which would be the higher-performance one?

Thanks for your help

Is it possible to refer to a service guide for this laptop somewhere to check if there's any tested compatible dual-band wifi card to achieve this desired upgrade ?
