@mysticpete, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Split 13 x2 PC

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I see you're having trouble with Bluetooth not appearing in Device Manager or being detected by HP Support Assistant. I know how frustrating that can be, but don't worry—let's go through a few steps to try and get it back up and running.

Check for Hidden Devices

Sometimes, Bluetooth may be hidden in Device Manager. Here’s how to check:

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Look under Bluetooth or Network Adapters for any grayed-out entries. If you find one, right-click and select Enable.

Run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that might help:

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  2. Select Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth > Run the troubleshooter.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and restart your PC if needed.

Update or Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers

If Bluetooth still doesn’t show up, you may need to update or reinstall the drivers:

  1. Visit the HP Support website and enter your model to check for the latest Bluetooth drivers.
  2. If you see an update, install it and restart your PC.
  3. If no drivers are available, go to Device Manager, expand Network Adapters, and uninstall any Bluetooth-related drivers. Restart your PC, and Windows should reinstall them automatically.

Check BIOS Settings

In rare cases, Bluetooth may be disabled in BIOS:

  1. Restart your PC and repeatedly press F10 (or F2, depending on your model) to enter BIOS.
  2. Look for an option related to Wireless / Bluetooth and make sure it’s enabled.
  3. Save changes and restart.

Windows Update & HP Support Assistant

Make sure your system is fully updated:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install any pending updates.
  • Open HP Support Assistant, check for updates, and install anything related to Bluetooth or network drivers.

Let me know how it goes!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
