@Native69 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that there is no sound from the soundbar that is paired with the HP laptop.

Please follow the below steps and check.

  1. In Windows, search for and open Control Panel.

  2. Click Sound, and then click the Playback tab.

  3. The Sound window opens. On the Playback tab, select Speaker/Headphone or Speakers and Headphones, and then click Set Default.

NOTE:

Use Default Devices for audio output devices such as headphones or speakers. Use Default Communication Device for making and receiving phone calls.

Setting Speaker/Headphone as the default audio device

If the issue still persists, please try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
