please help drivers G6-2332sa

I am trying to fix my friends computer. I wish I hadn't started. I feel like chewing off my own hands and poking out my eyes. Would it really put you out HP to have an archive of old drivers?

Some twit had put windows 10 on her machine. I believe the machine came with Windows 8. I don't know if this old machine was capable of running 10 or it became corrupted. but I decided to install windows 7 64bit because it is better than 8 and more suitable than 10. However, after install of Windows 7 I find there are drivers missing and she doesn't have the disc that came with her computer. I am missing ethernet and chipset drivers etc so I am unable to connect to the internet to complete the repair and make her computer lovely again.

Now, I have found a thread where someone else had the same issue and the support person kindly provided them a link where they could get the drivers they needed.

Please I cannot connect her computer to the internet. Please can you provide me what I need? What I need is exactly what was listed in the old thread below.

Hi:

HP never released W7 drivers for that model.

Here are the links to the drivers you need...

Chipset:  Select the W7 AMD chipset driver from the link below (pretty far down the page) and restart the PC.

Graphics:

This package provides the AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver and Catalyst Control Center for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

Wifi:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 Series wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Then for everything else (audio, touchpad, SD card reader, ethernet, software, etc), you can use all of the drivers and software from the g7z-2100 on that model, except the BIOS and firmware files.

Support for W7 ends in a few months, so if you want to install W8.1 on there, I can give you a way to do that by using the W8 product key in the notebook's BIOS.

Before I even posted a reply with the links to the drivers you need, I looked up the specs for that model.

Please let me know what it is you're confused about.

That is an easy model to get everything to work on W7 and the information I gave you will work 100%.

oh..  ok..  give this old codger a chance to work this out then..  and download..  and read..  and maybe if you will be so kind to asnwer anything else if I get confused again and add to this thread? I can't just work it out instantly.. thank you

So above is everything I need for G6-2332sa to get chipset and graphics and ethernet to work.. and anything else I have forgotten.. stuff that often doesn't work after a windows install ...when you no longer have the disc that came with the computer?

I'll be happy to help you in any way I can.

The chipset driver will install the smbus controller and USB controllers.

That model has a USB 3 port, which isn't working right now.

Just go down the list and install the drivers and then if there is anything left over you don't know what driver you need, please post the hardware ID for any remaining device(s).
