print function does not work. when I open printer the screen continues to run

Printing function does not work.  Send print job.  no errors.  Jobs back up in que.  open printer and screen continues to run no allowing management of print jobs

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

Are you trying to print from a Win 10 PC?

For now, try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
