I purchased a new computer. Am trying to set up my HP Envy Photo 7858 printer to communicate with the new Samsung computer. A code is asked for to create the set up. I tried the numbers on the printer which do not work. How do I get this code? My former records are gone. Thank you

Hi @technoidiot1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.
- Is the code being requested part of the Wi-Fi setup (e.g., for wireless direct printing) or part of an HP Smart or other software setup on your Samsung computer?
- Are you using HP Smart app or another HP software to set up the printer, and if so, at what stage is the code requested?
- Have you tried checking the printer’s display or network settings menu for any Wi-Fi Direct PIN or WPS PIN that might be required during the setup?
- Is the printer connected to the same network as your Samsung computer, or are you setting it up for a direct wireless connection?
Let me know
