Operating System: Chrome OS

My HP Office jet6700 keeps showing up as off line on my settings yet the Blue light is on signaling it is on line. I have followed all the steps HP Smart clues including reinstalling with the latest drivers. It worked for a while and later dropped back to off line in my settings. It is located within 5 feet of the router and the computer
