hi all, i have been trying to connect my laptop to a smart tv but i cant, anyone can help me if my pavilion dv7 can be wireless connected to my samsung smart tv?

Hi:
Unfortunately, your notebook does not meet any of the wireless display hardware requirements for notebooks made during the time yours was produced.
Wireless display back then required:
An Intel 2nd generation core processor. Yours has an AMD processor.
An Intel graphics adapter. Yours has an AMD graphics adapter
An Intel wifi adaper that supports wireless display. Yours has a Broadcom wifi adapter.

I am not very familiar with external casting devices, but shouldn't a chrome cast device work for something like that?
Or something like this? Says it works with Windows...
