A dialog box saying "wireless information unavailable. the application will now close." comes when I'm opening HP wireless assistant. The wifi is working fine but when any bluetooth device is connected then then the wifi connection stops every ~5 minutes. If no bluetooth device is connected then wifi works fine. Please help

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Wireless Assitant and check.
Before that update this and check if it helps:
Let me know if it doesnt work..

The wifi is working fine but every time I restart my computer, after the WINDOWS starts, it stops about 10 min, after that
HP wireless assistant pops up and says "Wireless information unavailable. The application will now close."
after that notification the system is working fine.
please help how can I fix this?

I understand you are experiencing an issue with your HP Wireless Assistant program.
You mentioned that you have the same issue listed earlier in this thread. Since wifi is working fine, it doesn't appear to be a hardware issue so much as a problem with the program.
What is the product number?
NOTE: Do NOT provide the serial number.
What steps have you taken in an attempt to solve this?
Were there any updates (Windows or HP) prior to this happening?
Have you tried reinstalling the program using DavidPK's steps here?

Click Start and in Start Search Type msconfig
It'll open the System Configuration Window => Then Click on the Startup Tab at the Top => Find HP Wireless Assistant in the list of programs under startup and remove the check mark next to HP Wireless Assitant.
You can also go to Services Tab at the top then check the box next to "Hide all Microsoft Services". Then look for HP Wireless assitant under service list and uncheck it..
Then click Apply and OK..Restart the computer and check if it still comes up..

I have deleted the HP Wireless assistant but now I am lost as to how I reinstall it. All references refer to Win 7 or earlier systems but I am running Win 10 Anniversary update.
I dont have the message appear now so it looks like deleting it has resolved that issue and do I need this functionality? Perhaps I just leave it deleted as nothing else appears to have stopped working, apart from my fingerprint reader which hasn't worked since the latest Win 10 upgrade failed to recognsed it and I cannot find a solution for that.
