Need help to solve hardware/software issue with the WiFi card

After upgrading to Win10, the WLAN card Ralink RT3290 failed to continue working as well as the enable/disable keyboard button (f12).

I have followed many suggestions from boards and HP´s support but did not help.

What WLAN card model could be the right fit to substitute the RT3290?

Thanks for your help.

You're very welcome.

That's unfortunate.

You can replace the Ralink card with this single band card, which was designed to work with one antenna cable and has full support for W10.

Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter    HP part # 753077-001.

You should be able to find them in used but tested and working condition on eBay.

Find a seller that will ship to Panama.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Open it up and let me know how many antenna wires are connected to the Ralink wifi card.

Hi Paul. Thanks for lending a hand.

There is ONLY ONE wire connected to the card and no lose cables around.

realtek wifi cards are not stable. every where, every time users  face lot of  issue.use intel or atheros(qualcomm)

@sathya4me

Here's the issue with your reply...

Atheros cards are just as unstable on W10 and they all require two antennas.

There are no W10 Atheros bluetooth drivers and the wifi drivers are over 5 years old.

Intel cards all require two antenna cables for the Bluetooth to work, otherwise I would agree with you that the Intel 7260 AC would be the best replacement, but the Bluetooth won't work.

i think usb wifi adaptor is cheap and best option for laptop or pc.

Thanks for your help, I do appreciate your  time and consideration.

Will try your suggestion first.

otherwise, will have to settle for a USB dongle.
