about 2 weeks ago there was a large windows update (Windows 10 Home 64-bit 22H2 version update) and since my wireless adapter started having issues
this was not the first time I had wireless problems following a windows update since I bought the notebook 3 years ago, in the past uninstalling and installing the adapter, or even making a system recovery, would work but not this time
following the update the adapter became hidden with no option to activate the device, windows also installed a generic wi-fi driver
having uninstalled the driver and once again installed the latest drivers from support.hp.com, it would require a few attempts until the adapter started working again, however whenever I turned off my notebook, or even when windows would suspend to save battery, the adapter would once again become hidden on device manager
the last couple of days it wasn't even showing as hidden and thus I decided to do a full system recovery but the adapter still isn't showing, in fact windows also stopped installing generic wi-fi drivers as well
the oddest of it all is the fact that, from my knowledge, both the wireless and bluetooth are the same card but the bluetooth has not even once stopped working, to be sure I also uninstalled the bluetooth driver but it did not change anything
additionally I used the UEFI diagnostics tool and it detected the bluetooth working correctly but the wireless adapter as not being installed
if there is still something that I have not tried I would really apreciate if someone could help me
thanks
