HP 15-dy2795wrn
SN-[Personal Information Removed]
I cant not connect to any wifi, in fact it doesn't even show I can connect to wifi anymore. it just isnt part of the options. Of course that limits me from HP doing anything remote to help me with my laptop. Anyway i have run some diagnostics and the only thing that keeps coming up is this
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCl2 Adapter is not fixed experiencing driver-or hardware-related problems.
I haven't installed anything since getting the laptop 3 months ago. Its brand new. I dont want to reset the whole computer. Can anyone help me? so frustrating.

Hi @Momof3grls99,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 15 laptop is not showing any available Wi-Fi networks and the Realtek RTL8821CE wireless adapter is experiencing driver or hardware-related problems, there are several steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Restart your laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can fix temporary software glitches. Restart your laptop and check if the Wi-Fi option reappears.
Update the wireless driver: Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause connectivity issues. To update the driver for your Realtek RTL8821CE adapter, you can follow these steps.
a. Press the Windows key + X on your keyboard and select "Device Manager" from the menu.
b. Expand the "Network adapters" category and locate the Realtek RTL8821CE adapter.
c. Right-click on the adapter and select "Update driver."
d. Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software. Windows will search online and install any available updates.
Reinstall the wireless driver: If updating the driver doesn't solve the problem, you can try reinstalling it. Here's how:
a. Follow steps a and b from the previous solution to open Device Manager.
b. Right-click on the Realtek RTL8821CE adapter
and select "Uninstall device."
c. Restart your laptop. Upon restart, Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Reset network settings: Resetting the network settings can help resolve any software-related issues affecting the Wi-Fi connectivity. To reset the network settings:
a. Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
b. Go to "Network & Internet" and select "Status."
c. Scroll down and click on "Network reset."
d. Click on "Reset now" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Check for physical issues: Ensure that the wireless adapter is properly connected and seated in its slot. If possible, try reseating the adapter to make sure it is securely connected.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
