Hi:

Yes, you can.

If you would like an AC wifi card, you can use this one...

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0              HP Part #710661-001

The card is readily available on Amazon or eBay.

Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Hi and thank you.

My question is due because the rt3290 network card has not worked since i installed ubuntu 18.04.

I tried other linux distributions but the problem remains.

I would like to ask other types of network cards that can be mounted on my laptop with ubuntu 18.04.

Thank you

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, that I do not know.

I suggest you post your question on an ubuntu/linux forum and see.

Any model half mini (HMC) wifi card should work in your notebook, not just the Intel 7260.

Thank you for your answers.

I have a solution but I know someone with ubuntu and the Intel network card have a problem.

Have a nice day.
