why doesn't my elite book 835 8g recognize sim card ,,, although it's data type

Hi:

 

The most likely reason is because your notebook does not have the optional WWAN network adapter that connects to the cellular service.

 

All Elitebook 835 G8's have SIM card slots, but what 90% of them don't have is the optional and expensive WWAN adapter.

 

All the SIM card does is allow you to connect to your carrier's network.

 

In order to use cellular, your notebook must have the following WWAN adapter present in the device manager under the Network adapters device manager category, along with the Wi-Fi and ethernet adapters.
