Hi @Texpreps,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having trouble setting up your new HP Envy x360 laptop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Try restarting your laptop and see if the problem persists.
  • Check Airplane Mode: Make sure Airplane Mode is turned off. This mode disables all wireless connections, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can usually toggle Airplane Mode on and off through the Action Center or Settings on Windows.
  • Check Wi-Fi Adapter: Ensure that your Wi-Fi adapter is enabled. You can do this by going to "Device Manager" (you can search for it in the Windows search bar), then expanding the "Network adapters" section. If you see your Wi-Fi adapter listed, it's enabled. If it's disabled, you can right-click on it and select "Enable".
  • Check Network Settings: Verify that your Wi-Fi network is within range and operational. You can try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue persists.
  • Driver Update: Make sure your Wi-Fi driver is up to date. You can do this by going to the HP website or using Windows Update to check for any available updates.
  • Reset Network Settings: Sometimes resetting network settings can resolve connectivity issues. You can do this by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset, then follow the prompts to reset your network settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
