when i try to connect to wifi on my laptop is shows no option and I have gone to device manager and there's says that there is network adapters

While in Device Manager - looking at the network adapters by clicking on the ">" - are there any showing no drivers or an exclamation mark?  If "no" all appear to be working, then how are you trying to connect?  Wireless or Ethernet?
