my hp107w cannot connect to wifi network with 5 gh. Can upgrade the deriver to connect to this network

No, you can't use driver to change its wifi adapter, you have to change adapter itself (if available). Higher speed network won't make printer print faster, its designed PPM (page per minutes) stays the same.

 

You can allow your router to broadcast 2.4GHz and 5GHz, your printer can "see" 2.4GHz SSID and allow you to connect. Some routers use ONE SSID for dual or triple bands.
