Hi @Cosmin_Liviu

This Probook is very old model which HP no longer supports with regards to development and official parts. Perhaps, the easiest option for you is to get an external WiFi card / adapter on USB. There are plenty of models in different price range, sizes, specs, from different vendors. You can check some online here on in other places >> https://www.emag.ro/adaptoare_ethernet/c?ref=search_menu_category

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the advice IT_WinSec. But I do not want to put a USB adapter, but to change the original board.
I found some models, but I'm not sure they will work.
Can you tell me if they will work with my laptop?

Hi @Cosmin_Liviu

I cannot say for sure if these will work because this was not officially tested. The Probook 4540s is a legacy/discontinued devices, so is this Intel 7260AC device you have pointed out. It might work but I cannot guarantee. HP has not officially tested this adapter with your Probook.

Therefore, I still think the easiest, fastest and cheapest option would be to get the USB type one locally. You can find some starting from 5 euro - these will work for sure. Some are so tiny in size and are barely noticable.
