hi all. I have an HP laptop #MG-W101Dx and have very slow wifi. I have a 100mgb
modem and when I connect the lap top to it I get about 102 download speed. But wi-fi is about 6. I have 6 tv's connected to wi-fi and they all work great,(nothing was on when I ran speed test. )
I have disabled firewall too. laptop is about 5 years old. intel core i-5 , 5200u cpu, at 220 ghz. 8 gig of ram. Any suggestions? Thanks.

#MG-W101Dx is not a valid model/product. Your machine probably only has a slow wifi card. Depending on its age, you MAY be able to get faster wifi card. Worse case, please try
https://www.pcgamer.com/au/best-usb-wi-fi-adapter/
Few weeks ago, for testing, I bought the following wifi card for my 11 years old machine
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/60514-7265.NGWWB.W
Unfortunately my machine uses different format, not M.2, physically won't fit therefore I went to the shop and swap to the following one (I did not have to pay more, they are same price):
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/67965-USB-AC53-NANO
And it works perfectly, get same result (download speed) with the 1G wired on same machine.
Regards.
