Welcome to the HP English Community --
I perhaps do not understand what happened.
I am sorry you were treated rudely on the phone.
HP would never just cold-call you, that is, call you for no reason -
It does not work that way.
Thieves and sneaky scammers call -- and perhaps text -- people all the time.
They want money, they want into your computer, they want your private information.
These are terrible, desperate, sad people who make a living off the backs of their victims.
If that were not bad enough, there are thousands of scam websites that operate pretty much the same way.
So, who called?
HP would ONLY call you if you submitted a Warranty repair case to HP Support,
and
The case were accepted,
and
You are assigned a case number,
and
You deliberately requested a call back for that assigned case number.
The process is not something that can happen by accident.
There is no reason for anyone from HP to be rude - they are extensively trained otherwise.
What happened?
No idea.
Whatever happened is outside of the scope and mission of our Community.
I am passing your concerns to our Moderator team.
Reminder
Have your case number ready -- do NOT post that number or ANY private information here.
