which WIFI cards are compatible with an hp 17by1053dx?

Which wifi cards are compatible with my hp 17by1053dx laptop? Mine has worn out. I have had it a few years, and have already replaced some hardware, but my wifi has barely any signal, even when it is in the same room as the router. The router works fine and the troubeshooter can't find anything wrong with my connections or the card, but I have to use a plug-in extension or the laptop won't pick up a signal. It used to work fine all over the house, including the basement and second floor. All other devices in the house connect fine (we have about 6 but only use 2 or 3 at a time). The right drivers are installed and working. No heavy use of the internet, it just can't connect anymore. My plug-in extender recently failed so I thought it would be good to replace the wifi card. Thank you for your response to what should be an easy question.

I hope the antenna wire hasn't broken near the hinge from opening and closing the lid.

I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.
