Hi @anantanag91,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing issues with the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity on your laptop, where the options for both are disappearing and reappearing inconsistently. Here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
Restart Your Computer: It seems like you've already noticed that restarting can temporarily solve the issue, but regular restarts might help if the problem is related to system instability or temporary software glitches.
Check Device Manager:
- Open the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
- Look under the "Network adapters" section for your WiFi adapter and under "Bluetooth" for the Bluetooth module.
- Check if they are both appearing without any warning icons. If there is a warning sign, it could indicate a driver or hardware issue.
- Right-click on each adapter and select "Disable device," and then "Enable device" to reset the connections.
Update Drivers:
- In Device Manager, right-click on the WiFi and Bluetooth adapters and choose "Update driver."
- Select "Search automatically for updated driver software." Follow the prompts if updates are found.
- Alternatively, visit the laptop manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers for your specific model.
Check Power Management Settings:
- In Device Manager, right-click on the WiFi and Bluetooth devices, go to "Properties," and then navigate to the "Power Management" tab.
- Ensure that the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is unchecked. This prevents the system from disabling the device in low-power states.
System Updates:
- Check for Windows updates as these can include important fixes and driver updates. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and select "Check for updates."
BIOS/Firmware Update:
- Sometimes, a BIOS or firmware update can resolve underlying hardware issues. Check the HP website for any available BIOS updates for your specific laptop model.
Network Troubleshooter:
- Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix common network connectivity issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections, and run the troubleshooter.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
