its not showing wifi on my device  am currently connected through USB thethering through my android. Windows 8.1pro using hp notebook 15ac042tu . Please help.

no it did not work. the wifi option has suddenly vanished from my laptop. Can you please help the other way?

(1) Check BIOS if wireless device is enabled ( a simple error that is often forgotten )

(2) Please send screenshot of windows <device manager> (again)
