My laptop was working fine, until I got a new modem for home wifi, I connected it, but my laptop is not showing no home network connection, my ipad and phone and tv are working fine.. Need some help

You sure this is a Modem? Asking because a Model connects to the ISP coax cable directly on the box. Unlike a Router that only connects with Ethernet cables.
My Modem is a Verizon model and it includes WiFi -- and to use it I have to use the SSID and passcode printed on the Modem itself. These used to be all the same but then manufacturers came to understand the security exposure and made each one unique.
Use one of your other devices to get the SSID and passcode you are using and select that same SSID using the laptop.
